Energy Ministry expects power consumption to grow by 2% in 2022
MOSCOW, Jan 31 (PRIME) – Russia’s electric power consumption is to increase by 2% to 1.129 trillion kilowatt-hours in 2022, the Energy Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
"The consumption growth forecast in the United Energy System of Russia stands at about 2%, or 1.112 billion kilowatt-hours in 2022, in Russia at large at about 2%, or 1,129 billion kilowatt-hours, with an about 2% growth as compared with 2021," the ministry said.
In 2021, power consumption rose by 5.4% to 1.107 trillion kilowatt-hours.
